Xplora (Q1 Initial take): Power first major retail launch - Redeye

Xplora's Q1 net sales of NOK376m (+11% y/y) edged 0.7% ahead of consensus but came in 3.0% below Redeye's forecast. EBITDA of NOK27.7m missed both — 17% below Redeye’s forecast and 35% below consensus. ,

The gap to consensus reflects an over-modelled gross margin of 57% against the 54% actual (in line with Redeye); the NOK5.5m shortfall versus Redeye’s forecast was primarily driven by Kids & Youth device sales below expectations.

Net income of NOK43.8m beat Redeye’s estimate by NOK38m on non-operating FX gains on EUR-denominated debt. Q1 is the seasonally lightest quarter of the year.

The senior subscription base remains undisclosed, but Xplora reiterates a 25% conversion rate across webshop channels in launched markets. Webshop launches in the final two core markets — Denmark and Germany — were completed in Q2 2026.

The next step is the Power retail rollout: a technical go-live ahead of a full launch in August across 160 stores in Norway and Sweden. Retail is the dominant distribution channel for the Doro senior hardware base, and the realised conversion-to-subscription rate is the single variable that determines whether the senior thesis works.
