Mårder leaves Raysearch's board, Prisma Properties withdraws board nomination

Financial profile Günther Mårder resigns with immediate effect as a board member of the medical technology company Raysearch, according to a press release.

The departure is attributed to “personal reasons” and comes after Mårder was requested to be remanded on suspicion of aggravated insider trading offenses. He has also requested to be relieved of his board assignment at Arbetsförmedlingen.

In addition, the nomination committee in the real estate company Prisma Properties has decided to withdraw its nomination of Mårder as a new board member, in light of what has happened. The nomination committee also proposes that the board of Prisma Properties should consist of five members instead of six.

Mårder is suspected on probable cause of four cases of aggravated insider trading between 2024 and 2026, but denies any wrongdoing.

According to prosecutor Thomas Hertz, the suspected trading did not generate any profit for Günther Mårder himself.

– Now I can say that he has been remanded because he has given advice on trading in a certain security. The trading for which he has been remanded did not result in any gain for him personally. It concerns shares in a company called Raysearch Laboratories, he told EFN on Friday after the remand hearing had ended.
